About UAV LAB

  • Introduction to UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLE LAB UTM

The Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Laboratory (UAV Lab) is one of the UTM Centers of Excellence. It is part of the Aeronautics Laboratory (AEROLAB), which is one of the UTM Centers of Excellence (COE). It is a specialist Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) research laboratory that was established to address the educational and research demands of Malaysia's growing aerospace industry.

  • Company History

Established in 2012, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Laboratory (UAV Lab), is a leading laboratory within the Aeronautics laboratory (AEROLAB), which is one of the UTM Center of Excellent (COE). It is a specialized research laboratory on Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and mainly set-up to meet the educational and research needs of Malaysia’s developing aerospace industry, with goals to provide education and training for future aeronautical engineers, with a focus on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).

Unconstrained by traditional disciplines in aeronautical engineering, UAV Lab is the meeting point for mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, photographers, software or dashboard developers and scientists to create technologies and experiences that enable people to understand and exploit UAS-related technologies in their lives, communities, and environments. UAV Lab promotes an interdisciplinary research culture that brings together diverse areas of interest. More than 20 faculty members working with over 30 researchers, assistant engineers, visiting scientists, undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and interns are working under the same roof.

  • Company Vision

The vision of UAV Lab UTM is to establish a world-class institution for postgraduate and industrial research in UAS and associated subjects. To build trust in our ability to provide UAS design and testing services that include aircraft design and fabrication, policies and airworthiness, communication, and applications.

  • Company Mission

Trying to produce quality products and services to provide the best values for needs. Always try to achieve a sustainable product. Improve the capabilities (knowledge, skills, attitudes) of human resources in the field of business that is run professionally

Conclusion

First of all, I want to say ALHAMDULILLAH. Because I successfully completed my 12 weeks of industrial training at UAV LAB, UTM during this COVID-19 global pandemic situation and I have successfully achieved all the objectives of this industrial training that was our main purpose. Secondly,

Finally, I would like to say that I learned something practical and professional which will be very helpful in my future career.
