Project 2 E-Portfolio Reflection

Project 2 PSDA is the final group assesment also known as the final project for the course, Probability and Statistical Analysis. This project 2 grands a huge carry mark for this subjects, thus it is indeed a very important task. The purpose of this project is to conduct analysis based on the data collected by the students and make report on its data using the knowledges learned throughout the course.  A group of 4 members was assigned for me to finish up this project together.
Throughout this project, I have learned so many knowledges. Firstly, I was able to create own survey and get our group's dataset. It was initially used for project 1, but since our dataset was perfect and complete, we used that same collected survey for project 2.  A total of 60 respondents was collected from the survey. After that, we began to look through our datas' and began to analysis method and ways for our report. Our survey is entitled as Favorite sports among first-year students and its life benefit. It was collected using google form.
Moving on, the other things that we learned important are testings, which are hypothesis testing for 1-sample, correlation analysis, regression analysis and Chi-square of independence. There were few methods and formulas used in order to justify this tests. FIrstly, from the hypothesis testing of 1-sample, I gained skills on inferenting two values from different surveys, one from survey conducted by Open Access Journal which was taken as population value, next value was taken from our own survey as the sample values. The purpose of this test is to check whether the mean BMI of first year university students in our dataset is equal to or higher than the survey collected by Open Access Journal.

Next, the second test, Correlation analysis. From this test, I got to know that there is no linear relationship between BMI and stress level. It indicates a weak positive correlation, hence we  fail to reject the null hypothesis.  The third test was, regression.  From the result, we were able to know that by comparing the test statistics and critival value, there's was no sufficient evidence to claim that the stress level is affected by the
sleeping rate.  Atlast, the fourth test, Chi-Square Test of Independence, here we were able to know that form the two values from the survey conducted which are gender and does sports affect your study life are the variables used were independent of one another.
Besides, I also learned how to divide tasks well among gorupmates to ensure the project completion is efficient. Morever, I also able to develop my skills in R programming to do many analysis. Few examples are making a contigency table, calculating p-value, degree of freedom, X-square value and and more. Skills such as reading data from google form , converting data from Microsoft Excel to make inferential report were also gained during this project 2.

As conclusion, I would really appreciate this task as it enhanced many skills and able to learn so many new knowledges. This project has helped us gain real-world experiences that we can implement in our working space in the future.. Lastly I'm very thankful to our lecturer, Dr Aryati Bakri, for all the helps and guidance throughout this project and semester. Hope I could use all this knowledges well in the future.
