Position: Director of Creative'20 program

• Impact of the activities on the development of students' Graduate Attribute
  In the event, one of the Graduate Attributes that was focused on was the communication skills, especially the “communication skills” in the Creative'20 committee. Be a leader or director of program we need to communicate a lot of people and need to give clear explanation during the proposal meeting and always keep it touch of all progresses from all small units under Creative’20. The most important when be a leader make sure our words is polite but still can make people to do on what we ask, don’t harsh everyone in our team as it will make the connection of relationship become poor. The event has also trained the “leadership and team working” skill of each committee member. A leader or director of program must construct the idea two step ahead and also think about the consequences, must lead the crews clearly and don’t neglect responsibilities and know how to construct a good organization team and dividing all the tasks. In addition, being director of program gained a lot of leadership skills by guiding and directing other committee members and crews before, during and after the event. Lastly, the event trained the “adaptability skills”. Normally in many events we still will encountered the technical problems, last minutes’ decisions, many work and need to submit it in rush. Therefore, each committee will need to adapt and handle any tasks that they have not expected or not experience before.

• Self strength/advantage towards the activities
  In this activity , my strength is I can do multiple tasks, full of determinant to organize the event and i have a lot of idea and backup plans if the event get some problems or issues. So i can still survive the program and make it until success. And i know to divide the tasks in the program proposal so everyone will know their work and i can reduce my stress and i don't have to work it all by myself.

• Challenges and how to overcome
  The challenges in this activity are being a program director is not easy for me because a lot of commitment i need to give as this is my first experience ever to be a program director. I don't have much knowledge and experience to handle big things such as this Creative'20 program. I also have problem like over-thinking and scared if i couldn't able to direct and organize my program until success. To overcome, I usually ask my senior friend, Akmal Hisham who is now currently in third year. I frequently ask him some opinions, steps to do something and suggestions to improve my ideas. For the commitment, i still can manage it because i have my own timetable, so every tasks will be in my schedules.
