Reflection
To carry out this project, we have first decide the topic of our project which is the study of life expectancy, growth rate and mortality rate among countries. We further investigate the topic by using the dataset provided by Dr. Sharin together with the implementation of R programming. There are a total of 4 tests carry out by my group which are 1-sample hypothesis test, correlation, regression and Goodness of fit test. We divide the job among ourselves and I do for correlation test. For the next step, I have do some research on what is actually correlation by reading the learning materials provided by lecturer and additional notes from the internet. This is not the hardest part, the hardest part is I need to use R programming to carry out the test where I never use it before. So, I have gone through a lot of tutorial video and keep trying until I get the correct way to use it. The result obtained from R is further interpret by providing a clear explanation.
I have learned a lot of new things throughout this project. First, I learn how to use the R language in solving problem such as finding the correlation and drawing the suitable graph. I am glad that I can learn how to use R as R is a very useful language for us to analyze data for statistical computing and graphics. Before this, I only learn all of the concepts theoretically but now I am able to analyze by using R language. Next, I have learned how to cooperate with my group members and complete this project by having online discussion. All of the group members show high commitment in giving ideas and provide solutions and this leads us to complete this project on time. Last but not least, I am thankful and appreciate for the help of my lecturer and group members who always assist me and work together to finish the project smoothly.
