UTM 50 YEARS VIDEO MONTAGE - PRODUCTION

On March 14, 2022, UTM will be 50 years old as a university. The celebration in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (14 March 1972 - 14 March 2022) is seen as appropriate in appreciating the aspirations of excellence and success of all parties in the development of UTM. The event was for the making of a video montage of 50 years’ celebration of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

• Communication Skills

Communication skills are one of the graduate attributes highlighted in this activity. This was important because we were attending the event with people of different ages, countries, and backgrounds. We wore white attire which make us feel that we are all same though we are from a different country with a different culture.

• Leadership and Teamworking Skills

Leadership and Teamworking skills helped us in this activity. We divided into 2 groups one group wore their own cultural attire and the other groups make a human chain to write UTM 50. So those 2 groups were led by a leader so that everything can be smooth.

• Global Citizen

As I am an international student of UTM and the program was held by UTM international and ISS Yemen so there were so many people from different countries and different cultures and all of us worked as a group. This helped us to learn the global citizen graduate attributes and also the activity was about our beloved University so everybody was keen to make it great.

This event was organized by UTM International and ISS Yemen where we shoot a video for the UTM 50 years’ celebration. First of all, this event is for all country and their culture to represent as well as white dress for all to feel that we are the same.

First of all, I attended this activity this is because it is for our beloved Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. It was organized by UTM international and ISS Yemen. The event was all about representing the different countries and their different cultural attire. So from Bangladesh, we joined with them to shoot the montage for the UTM 50 years celebration.

Throughout this activity, I was really able to learn about the importance of communication, teamwork, leadership skills, and global citizen attributes. I had to communicate with the team and follow their direction to make it smooth and great.

In this event, I learned different cultural attire and throughout this event, we communicate with each other which helped me to expand my knowledge about different countries' people and their cultures.

Doing something for my university is always felt great. But yes we shoot the video on the grounds of Stadium Azman Hashim (UTM) in the morning time. I have a physical weakness, so I stayed for 2 to 3 hours in the sunlight which made my blood pressure so high, and later I just took a rest for 30 minutes and it became normal other than that everything was incredible.
