Mini Report
The event will include a career lecture as well as a demonstration of their product, which will include a virtual reality system. As Software Engineer students, we should attend this event. Huawei also mentions that they are doing this event in the hopes of attracting UTM students to work for them. This is a huge opportunity for us. I also had the opportunity to check out their virtual reality equipment. The system is quite interesting, and it has peaked my attention. Because it is such a large event, many students attend. Aside from that, it also discusses Human Resources Insight or HR Insight. The skills that this event emphasizes include critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork. UTM-Huawei has joined hands together since August 2018 to collaboratively contribute towards academic and research. Since collaboration, UTM-Huawei aimed to provide a conducive and innovative platform to foster academic and research, training, and learning activities to both academicians and students through the School of Computing, Faculty of Engineering. So for the School of computing, this event was one of the important event.
Self-reflection
First of all, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) became the first among public universities to host Huawei Connected Campus this year. The event was held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, UTM JB. The one-day event had gathered more than 3000 students engaged in various activities including a talk by Huawei leaders, campus recruitment, and a showcase of Huawei products and solutions.
So I feel proud that I attended that Program. This program appealed to me since it was relevant to my Faculty. The virtual reality system, for instance. After hearing that Huawei, one of the world's leading technology companies, is coming to UTM, I decided to enroll in this program. I asked about the 5G and its negative effects. They answered every question. After enrolling in this program, I was inspired to work harder to achieve my goals. In the near future, I also hope to collaborate with Huawei.
They gave us some gifts like a diary, handbag, and a Golden ticket to join with them. They mentioned that the UTM students are more talented than others so they offered the UTM student more salary than the normal salary. This Program improves my ability to think about how we can improve our world, as well as my leadership and teamwork skills, which are two of the benefits that have helped Huawei become successful. In addition, I'd like to build something on my own, such as a virtual reality system. I aspire to conquer numerous obstacles in my life.
