Mini Report:
The PERSAKA 2023 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held on June 27th at Dewan Seminar Kejora, N28a, was an important annual event conducted by PERSAKA UTM. The major goal of this gathering was a thorough analysis and discussion of previous events from the 22/23 PERSAKA session, as well as a detailed presentation of the club's finances.
The conference provided an important opportunity for PERSAKA members to reflect together on the overcomes and challenges faced during the 22/23 session. This retrospective study aims to give significant insights that may be used to shape future plans and activities. Members actively participated in conversations, which aligned with the Communication Skills Graduate Attribute and promoted open communication and cooperation.
Furthermore, the group discussed the selection of new high committee members, ensuring that the change went smoothly and bringing new viewpoints. A large portion was given to a clear presentation of the club's budget, which promotes financial literacy and aligns with Critical Thinking and Problem Solving. The results included improved cooperation, a more educated awareness of the club's financial situation, and a shared commitment to continual progress. This event demonstrated PERSAKA's commitment to good communication, financial transparency, and strategic planning, therefore setting the organization for future development and success.
Self Reflection
Self Reflections:
As vice director of the Annual Grand Meeting (AGM) '23, I was responsible for encouraging communication among committee members, managing delegated responsibilities, and assisting the Director with decision-making. This experience tremendously improved my communication skills as I efficiently transmitted information while maintaining a cohesive team atmosphere. The intense conversations at the AGM improved my thinking skills, allowing me to critically assess previous events and give useful ideas. As a participant in the appointment of new high committee members, I improved my leadership and teamwork skills while also establishing a collaborative environment.
My range of skills was demonstrated by smoothly filling in for the director as needed. The AGM emphasized the significance of these qualities, which correspond to the Graduate Attributes of Adaptability, Global Citizenship, and Enterprising qualities. Furthermore, actively participating in talks concerning the club's budget improved my scholar characteristic by improving my awareness of financial administration inside the organization.
Navigating different opinions during discussions posed a challenge, requiring diplomacy and effective conflict resolution skills. However, overcoming these challenges during the AGM '23 reinforced the importance of adaptability and strengthened my commitment to open communication within the committee. My self-strength in effective communication, adaptability, and teamwork prepared me well for this role, allowing me to make a significant contribution to the AGM's success while also increasing my personal and professional development.
