Probability and Statistical Data Projects

PSDA Projects

These are some of my notes, exercise and projects for this semester

Notes

Project 1

Reflection

This is a group project, consisting of 4 people. The title for my project was, "Gadgets Good or Evil?!". The main aim of the project was to determine the level of dependence of students on their gadgets to go about their daily life. My group and I have come to the conclusion that our society especially students have definitely integrated and even addicted to these gadgets to the point where they struggle to do anything without it.

My goal when doing this project was to make sure I fully grasp every aspect of the probability and statistics terms. I am focused on understanding this course thoroughly and apply the theories in my daily life. Due to the recent pandemic, things have been a bit more complicated to go through and finalize. But I have realized that there are actually many ways no settle any work no matter the hardship. It took some time to get used to the situation, but once you do things just become normal again. I learned many useful things while doing this project, together with my group mates. I also learned to be more creative and think more "outside the box", because we are all separated at our homes. I have learned many new graph types, and deepen my understanding of the existing ones. I also did more research to further improve my understanding of the topic and better my project.

This project has clearly thought me the importance of 21st-century gadgets during any crisis. in conclusion, I'm positive that I can apply whatever I have learned during the course of this project in my daily life to make things simple, and become better in any way I can. And for my verbal description of the report, you can access the google drive link that I have provided below.

Project 2

Reflection

This is the final project for Probability and Statistical Data, which is actually replaced by the final examination. This is an individual project about inferential statistics. So the main purpose of this whole project is to learn how to read and decipher secondary data, and then categorize them into a simpler form and easy to comprehend.

My main goal is almost the same as the previous project, which is to make sure I can fully grasp every aspect of the probability and statistical terms. But compared to the previous project, this one was a bit more complicated and took way more effort to understand and put together. First of all, this project covers a lot more topics and theories compared to the previous one. I have learned so many new terms and ideas on how probability is actually used on a daily basis by people. It obviously took some time to actually sit down and learn everything one by one, as it is all new territories. But in the end, it all came together. I definitely gained a lot of useful knowledge about statistics during the whole period of completing this project. And now I also can use RStudio to improve my knowledge of graphs, which I also used to complete this project.

In conclusion, I believe that probability and statistics are definitely very useful if learned and applied properly in our daily lives. I, for one, am definitely more positive in going forward and using all this useful knowledge that I have slowly discovered and learned in more situations. I also hope things can be much simpler from now on, and also that I can become better in any way.
