SECP1513-04 TEKNOLOGI DAN SISTEM MAKLUMAT (TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM)

My Reflection :

As for my goal in this course, I aspire to become a person who can make prominent contribution to the society in the scope of computer science. Gone are the days we have to do everything without any modern invention, especially the electronic device. We should acutely aware that the virtual communication is going to be the trend in the oncoming centuries. Subsequently, I have to get full use of my time studying in this course with a view to catching up the tremendously swift development of the technology and information system. Owing to computer science is a competitive scope in this modern era, thus I have to learn more relating knowledge through participating extra activities and listening to the professionals’ talks to widen my horizon and acquire valuable experience.

             Throughout this design thinking project, I have learnt enormous skills to accomplish a report. For instance, I learnt to engage in a interview, distributing tasks among group members, recording and editing videos, brainstorming innovative ideas and so on. It provides a platform for me to experience on how to work as a team with my groupmates, how to effectively voice out our opinions and executing them. The most interesting part is, due to the pandemic condition is getting severe day-to-day, my groupmates and I making good use of communication devices to discuss on how to complete the report via Google Meet and Telegram. We have a time to know what the hardship is while using these virtual communication systems and how to solve it.

             All in all, I have known my shortage if I demand to be a successful computing engineer in future. Not only on how to schedule my time, work out an executable plan, make decision and manage emotions, I have learnt effective speaking and listening as well. To conclude my reflection, I have to engross myself in more aspects of computer science for a great boost in my job in future.

My Reflection for Industrial Talk 1 :

Throughout the industrial talk, there is a prediction or illustration vaguely coming out in my mind regarding the future trends and development in Malaysia. It cannot be demurred that the industrial revolutions are easing the mankind’s life distinctly. It is of great convenience with the technologies nowadays, especially during this pandemic. Nevertheless, we have to utilise the technological advancements sensibly and contribute to our nation rather than abusing them.

My Reflection for Industrial Talk 2 :

Throughout the talk, I know about the role that a project management plays in accomplishing a project. It assists us to utilize our precious time wisely and we can complete a project with no extra works. As the speaker said, the main project for us, as a student, is to complete our studies. We have to deal with obstacle that we encounter in our academic years, meanwhile, we have to be determined and having a clear mind of our aims in the academy. Last but not least, as the speaker mentioned, our attitudes is the most important measure if we demand to graduate with quality degree.

My Reflection for Alumni Sharing Session :

The talk is beneficial to the undergraduates as the speakers’ experiences can be a reference to them, however, there are a lot of unknown factors that influence the speakers’ achievements such as their efforts, mentalities, etc., which cannot be transferred to the juniors verbally. Throughout the talk, I have a clearer vision of my future after I had graduated. I aspire to be a specialist in Computer Science and explore the unknowns in this scope which will take our country a big step forward in technology. I will keep enhancing myself with all the fundamental elements in order to outstand in a crowd.

My Reflection for Assignment PC Assembly :

After I had done this assignment, I am able to list out the essential tools which are utilised in assembling a PC. Besides, I learnt the motherboard full layout as well as the components' positions on the motherboard. Moreover, I got to know the basic components which can be found within a CPU, namely their models and functions, etc. Most importantly, I understood the PC assembly steps and the stages and precautions in each step as well.

My Reflection for Assignment Cloud Computing :

As for my perspective, with a view to developing my software, I opt Google Cloud platform. Although it is still growing and the basic features are still in the beta phase, it can constantly help the user enhance their development. It is now in new creation of technology which is carbon neutral to support resource conservation. In terms of storage, Google is lacking of the storage solutions due to the absence of backup options, however, it offers both SQL and NoSQL support. In terms of pricing, Google stands out for making AI development easier to work advanced technology in ideal budget. The users can obtain some basic services with basic prices. In terms of tools, Google still has a long journey to catch up with AWS. The available tools and functions are a work in progress. Whilst in terms of compute, Google Compute is the highlight of their services. The users for both Windows and Linus can custom configure their platforms. The focus of GCP is on Kubernetes deployment – a scope of expertise for Google.
