Self-Reflection

It was a really fun experience where me and my friends can participate in a competition as a group. Thinking back from now it was such a good memory. I was playing the role of a Tank during the competition, even though I mainly use Mage in my usual gameplay, as they are actually all new to the game, like they only create the account for the game a week before the competition starts. Hence, I have to adjust for the team and take the role of tank. Because I’m more familiar in this game compared to others, sometimes I have to step up and lead the team, and as the role of tank that I’m playing, I will always have to be the first to engage the opponent and think of the best way to pull out a successful gank. And as we are already a really good friend in real life, hence communication is not a problem for us during the matches. Even though it’s quite unfortunate for us to stop proceeding to the quarter final, I still feel very proud towards myself and my team members for making it this far, given that they just got into the game not long ago.

One of my strengths is optimistic I guessed? Even though my team is in a very bad position, which is pretty close to losing the game. I will still believe that as long as we hang on to the last moment, there is still a chance for us to win the game. I also keep on motivating my team when the mood is down. One big challenge we face during the game is that we are overall inexperienced, compared to other teams. And also due to my team members just joining the game, we don’t own much champions, or in the other words we are lacking choice to be picked during the fight. These put us in great disadvantage. Still, we are trying to overcome it with strategies like sticking together on one lane while one member pushes on the other lane. Well, it’s fair that we use strategies such this when we can’t solve things with pure strength and force.

All in all, I’m really glad I joined this activity. Not only does it give us such a memory together during our university life, but it has also contributed to my growth and development of graduate attributes.
