Introduction
Discrete structure is the study of mathematical structures that are fundamentally discrete rather than continuous. In contrast to real numbers that have the property of varying "smoothly", the objects studied in discrete mathematics – such as integers, graphs, and statements in logic– do not vary smoothly in this way, but have distinct, separated values. Discrete mathematics therefore excludes topics in "continuous mathematics" such as calculus or Euclidean geometry.
Reflection on this course
From this course, I learnt a lot about the principles and the applications of discrete structure. I can use the knowledge that i gained form this course to solve some basic problems with the theory such a deterministic finite automata. I learned the structure of the graph theory and can apply it in a real world problem which is really helpful to me. This course has increased my logical thinking skills which can help me to analyze and solve problems using theories easily.
