Mini Report
Degree++ Augmented Reality is a workshop to introduce and expose participants to Augmented Reality's theoretical and practical practice using ARToolkit and Visual Studio 10.0 software. In this program we had been introduced the idea of augmented reality and it implementation in industry. Instead introducing the basic idea of the augmented reality, we also had given a chance to experience the augmented reality program with our computer by using tool like ARToolkit during the program.
Self-Reflection
The experiencing of the augmented reality in this program is very special for me. Actually this is not the first time I exposure to the things like augmented reality. Before this, I actually had experienced the VR and "4-D" film during my recreation at Genting Highland with my family, and before I become a university student the AR game Pokemon Go had been popular for a several time. However, the running of the sample program that exist does not fulfill me since I did not create something through it, that why I will continue to study to exposure more features of ARToolkit can be used in other places. In my opinion, the field of AR is still in exploration stage and at the future maybe at the future more implementations and applications of AR will be invented and discovered.

Introduction
Degree++ Augmented Reality is a workshop to introduce and expose participants to Augmented Reality's theoretical and practical practice using ARToolkit and Visual Studio 10.0 software. CGMA Degree++ course is a plan for students under program SCSV to follow and start improving their programming skills. This program is an innovation that initiated by Dr. Ajune Wanis. The introduction of augmented reality to our first year SCSV students is the first phase of the whole CGMA Degree++ program. The instructor who is leading us in this short course was our SCSV senior from the 3rd Year students.
In this short course, we had been taught the difference between the mixed reality, augmented reality, augmented virtuality, and virtual reality. We had been introduced the application of augmented reality in difference fields includes medical, education and training, games and entertainment, tourism and culture heritage and advertisement.
Experience the Augmented Reality with AR tools
Instead introducing the basic idea of the augmented reality, instructor also had gave us some material to run the augmented reality program in our computer. The materials provided include an installer for ARToolKit and also a paper printed with some pattern to test the augmented reality program. ARToolKit is a software library developed by Dr. Hirokazu Kato and Prof. Mark Billinghurst for building augmented reality applications. It uses computer vision techniques to calculate the real camera position and orientation relative to marked cards, allowing the programmer to overlay virtual object onto these cards.
After installed ARtoolKit, we can run some sample that already provided in the installed folder of the ARtoolKit. We run the sample.exe program in the bin/ directory and use the printed marker to test the augmented reality program, a blue cube will appear on the "Hiro" marker when we put it in front of camera. In addition, I had try to use the display of marker in my smartphone screen to test the augmented reality program, however it did not bring the result as I expect.
The other tool used was the Autodesk Maya which use to view the 3D model provided from instructor.
