Leadership Reflection on Project MarshNavi Patient Navigation System
I have registered a “Software Engineering” course in semester 2, 2017/2018. In the learning outcome of this course, there is a project that covered the knowledge that we learnt during lesson.
We have been separated into several teams where each team must complete a project with the title of “Cancer Patient Navigation System” based on the requirement given by Pink Ribbon Centre community’s committee as one of our stakeholders.
There are a lot of leadership skill that I learnt through this project. For example, I learnt to be a good communicator by organizing for many our group meeting to gather and discuss about our project. Throughout our meeting discussion, I able to give opinion and solution towards project tasks and problems. I also flexible to listen and accept ideas and approach from other team members to improve our “MarshNavi Cancer Patient Navigation System” to be much more better.
Besides that, I delegate tasks to them based on their expert team of certain topic in Software Engineering. I believe them to know the tasks should be done, where I ensure they have clear understanding of the project’s expected outcome. I keep on checking for their progress and reminded them for project submission’s due date.
Finally, our team member always stays positive even though we are under pressure due to deadline of other projects, assignment and upcoming examination. We able to help each other by solving it together if there are any difficulties faced during completing this project.
