This program is organized by UTM Mandarin Club. The theme of this program is “smile and fate” (?•?). This program was held on 30 October 2022 from 7 pm until 9 pm. The program is being organized offline at L50 in UTM and is open to all UTM students.
The goal of this program is to introduce UTM Mandarin Club to those who are interested and join the program. Also, it aims to recruit new members for the club. The students who are interested to join and register themselves after the program. The program started from 6.30 pm until 7 pm for registration. Then, the committee started to introduce the history of the UTM Mandarin Club and all the committee to the participants. We also show a video about the club’s annual activities and introduce the four units in the club. Later, we conducted a Q&A session for those who were confused for us. After filling in the attendance form, we continue the program with a lucky draw session. Last, we end the program with take a photo.
I’m the vice director of this program. I have to help and guide the committee while preparing for the program. I arrive earlier and make sure that the location is ready. I help to control the situation and was ready to backup for any position. For example, I help to invite the students in front of the door and tell them how to register themselves in the lucky draw session. I also appeared in front to share my experience before this in the introduction of each unit session. I try to tell more in-depth to let the participants know more about Mandarin Club. This is the first time I speak in front of hundreds of people face-to-face in the hall. This program helped to enhance my leadership skills as I have to lead and guide the team to achieve success in this program. Also, I learn to communicate with others not only the committee but also the others students who join the activity. I try to give advice and communicate with them while having problems. Also, during the program, we communicate fast and wisely to make sure that the program runs smoothly.
