Report Activity No.1

The Psychic Junior Induction(Psyji) is an annual event organized by the Psychology Interactive Club (PSYCHIC) from the School of Human Resource Development and Psychology(SHARPS). The theme of this program is “Show Yourself”. This program was held on 29 and 30 October 2021 which are Friday and Saturday. The program is being organized online through Cisco Webex. This program is specially organized for first-year students from Psychology and Human Resource Development UTM. 

This program aims to introduce university life to first-year psychology students. On the first day, we have a welcoming speech, introduction of PSYCHIC, Kahoot quiz, and explorance online activity. On the second day, we had sharing session named “Oh My Psychology” with Mr. Ariff Hazwan Bin Mohd Isa and Puan Nazatul Syahirah Binti Yusof. The following sharing session is “Aspire to Inspire” with Dr. Irza Hanie Binti Samah.

In this program, I was assigned as Bureau Chief in the special task department (tugas-tugas khas). I was appointed to prepare the club advisor and president’s script. Also, I have to prepare the link for attendance for two days before the program. During the program, I have to be alert and give the attendance link in the chatbox. Last but not least, after the program, I have to send the e-cert to participants via email. 

It was my first time preparing scrip in English. I try to search for some examples, write and get suggestions from others. Also, I learned new skills on how to send emails to a lot of people at the same time. Overall, from all of the tasks given, I got a lot of new experience and skills. I learned how to communicate with my team members and my leader. Also, I learn the progress of organizing a program. The process of organizing an activity for a batch of students is not easy. Thus, it helps to enhance the relationship between me with my classmate.
