The panel of this webinar are Prof. Dr. Kamaruzaman bin Yusoff from Akademi Tamadun Islam, Fakulti Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Prof. Madya Dr. Nasruddin bin Yunos from Pusat Citra UKM and the webinar moderator is Dr. Nur Najwa Hanani Binti Abd Rahman.
The aim of this program is to provide exposure and understanding to the community, especially students, regarding decolonization and contemporary issues related to decolonization. Besides, the program aims to prepare for students in the point of mentally and physically in understanding the issue of decolonization today.
This webinar was organized online using a webex application and live broadcast via Facebook of the Academy of
Islamic Civilization and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UTM. The program ran smoothly and
successfully. As a result, a total of 3500 participants who participated in this webinar even received
response from students and lecturers from other universities such as UKM, USIM and UPSI. Positive feedback from
students and participants who stated that it is appropriate for such a webinar to be organized again because
they get a lot of input and benefits.

1. It was my first time joining event held by the Academy of Islamic Civilization but definitely not the last. Overall, it was a meaningful and great experience for me. The webinar gained me a lot of valuable knowledge.
2. From this program, I I have learn to think critically of contemporary issues emerging from various ideologies. I am exposed to a variety of contemporary issues and try to relate the issues according to a philosophical perspective so as not to be influenced by perverse and destructive ideologies.
3. One thing that could be improved in this program is the organizer should be preparing slide so that the event can be more interesting.
