SECP1513_Technology and Information Systems

I recently completed the course of Technology and Information Systems taught by Dr Nor Azizah Sa’adon for my first semester of year 1 of software engineering. At the beginning, my goal concerning this course is to learn and explore the knowledge of technology. Furthermore, I also set a goal to have a grade A at the end of the course.

After completing this course, I found that I need to make a lot of efforts to improve my potential in the industry, especially my personal development skills. The first thing to do is undoubtedly to improve my problem-solving skills by improve my critical thinking. Critical thinking is important to allow me identify a problem or issue that I faced. With critical thinking, I could create inferences on why the problem exists and how it can be solved. Therefore, improving my critical thinking to improve my problem-solving skills help me to think calmly when I encounter any challenging projects and at the end develop and execute solutions.

Undoubtedly, this subject has contributes to my knowledge of technologies and information systems. In addition to imparting knowledge of textbooks, this subject also provides industrial talks which can help us to have a better understanding on some specific technologies such as cloud computing, augmented reality, wifi 6 and 5G network and data visualization. I would say that industrial talks are useful to allow me to match my knowledge with real examples.

Last but not least, I would like to thanks my teacher of this course, Dr Nor Azizah Sa’adon. Her interesting and attractive lecture made me have a good impression and fun with this course. She is a responsible and careful teacher which always do her best to solve our confuse. Because of her, our assignment and project can be completed with a perfect work. I also appreciate to my team members for their high cooperation and efforts in completing assignments and project. With them, our assignment and project can be completed smoothly on time.
