COMPUTING GALA'23, the annual dinner for the Faculty of Computing, UTM, celebrated student achievements in both academic and extracurricular domains. The event provided a platform for students and lecturers to come together, fostering a sense of community within the faculty. Beyond the revelry, this gala aligns with the graduate attribute of 'Community Engagement.' By acknowledging and appreciating student accomplishments, the program strengthens the bonds within the computing community, creating a supportive network for academic and personal growth. The event not only serves as a recognition platform but also enhances the social fabric of the academic environment, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared success. In essence, COMPUTING GALA'23 contributes to the holistic development of students by instilling a sense of belonging and shared identity within the Faculty of Computing, UTM.

As a member of the Protocol Unit in the program, I had the unique opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of events. Coordinating with various stakeholders, I learned the art of diplomacy and precision in managing event logistics. My responsibilities ranged from guest coordination to ensuring the seamless flow of the program. This experience enhanced my organizational and interpersonal skills, emphasizing the importance of attention to detail in creating a positive event experience. Working in the Protocol Unit also deepened my understanding of the significance of first impressions and the role they play in establishing the tone of an event. This position taught me to navigate dynamic situations with grace and professionalism. Reflecting on my role, I recognize the enduring value of effective communication and adaptability in event management, skills that extend beyond this program and into various facets of my personal and professional life.
