NALI

New Academia Learning Innovation or known as NALI had been held at the Dewan Sultan Iskandar (DSI). My group and I had been assigned to to report of some booth from the program that had been organised.  There are 86 booths are set up at the hall. So, our group had been asked to made a report of 3 booths out of 86. So my group and I had choose:

  1. Flash Floods Detector.
  2. Go Green School: Community Service Learning.
  3. Adapting Gamification Approach In Massive Open Online Courses To Improve User Engagement

GLOW

Global Online Workforce or known as GLOW is a platform where it helps someone to use their talents to earn money. The talk was given by a well known freelancer Nor Ashikin bt Halil. Fior the one who interested will be given training to improvise their entrepreneurship skills. Their target is to develop Malaysia economic via digital worlds too. This program was help at N28A Hall. Few example of freelancing jobs are :

  1. Online Tutoring Jobs
  2. Data Entry
  3. Advertising Industries
  4. Designing and Developing Web

 CICT

This talk was held during the industrial visit to CICT. This talk was given by Mr. Zahari, a member of authorities from CICT. Based on his talk, he told that there are many job opportunities at CICT. Other than that, CICT also offered free softwares for students use in their management. Center for Information and Communication Technology is well known for their IT services around UTM. The services that they provided are :

  1. Internet
  2. Infrastructure and Security
  3. Softwares
  4. Application Development
  5. Web Management
  6. ICT Support

 IoT

Internet of Thinking is a latest thing to be brought up in IT field. The talk was help at School of Electrical Engineering, P03 - Room 221. This talk was held due to IoT open day. The first talk was given by Mr. Syahrul Hafidz Suid, the Enterprise Consultant of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He was focusing on final year students cause he was showing the requirements for a fresh graduate that require by companies. In other hand, by learning Artificial Intelligence is another chance to get vacancy quickly. The list of talk given on that days are:

  3. Internet of Things

SC DISCUSSION ON CO-CURRICULUM DAY AND PERSAKA EXHIBITION

It was a sudden announcement that all of the FC students will have a talk in the evening. So all of us went to the talk that tells about the co-curriculum day whic is related to this report too. PERSAKA also had some exhibition about them on that day. The talk was given by Dr.Suhaila at DK8  around 45 minutes. She explains briefly about how important is our participation in the co-curriculum events for graduate. By not attending this, it might give you problem on your final year where you will graduate.

Reflection on PSDA Project 1 & Project 2

Well for project 1 in a  team of four, only two work so hard until the project is done. They had no cooperation between team members. Every time I ask them to do ,they would be ignoring and telling me that they are busy. The two of us had been losing a lot of sleep to finish the project. But then they only contribute at final moment for the report and presentation.

For project 2 same thing occurs, so we left the two sleeping partners and done our work just in a single night push. This is because they did not do their part so we are doing their parts.

         UTM are organizing multiple types of program and activities. So, as students we should give a bit of attention for this section because this might help us in future. By attending to this type of programs and activities could help you a lot in your future for example by going for New Academia Learning Innovation (NALI), could guide students for their final year project.

      Next could help students to gain knowlegde in various field. For example, the talk given by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) about the importance of IoT in careers nowdays. As we can see, after get to knowing this, we could practice ourself to get to know softskills.

     Other that, we could develop our communication skill with many layers of people. We could know know the needs of an employer. The use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I), in this era is the guideline to impress your employer.
