On 8 December 2019, we were involved in a workshop which is about the robot programming using robot car. At 2.00 pm, the workshop started with a brief introduction about the Robocar Programming activities happeing in UTM. Then, we were shown with a video about the Robocar Team and the crews and also their achievements. Later, practical session was carried out where each team divided had to program the robot car so that it can move on the track. At 4.00 pm, a small competition was carried out for us to participate, the winner was decided by the shortest time taken to complete the track and the number of checkpoint the car has completed. At 4.30pm, the closing ceremony and award giving ceremony was carried out.
Throughout this workshop, I have learnt a new way (or discover a new way) about how to apply the programming techniques that I have previously learnt. Even though my team did not win the competition, I have gained some new experiences in this workshop on how to cooperate with teammates and work together among each other. Also, I wish that in the future there will be more similar workshop to be held to give opportunies for the students to gain extra knowledges and skills.
