SECP1513 Course Reflection

Here is my reflection about the class SECP1535

SECP1513 Course Reflection

  • What is your goal/dream concerning your course/program?

I am currently a first-year Data Engineering student at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). My target here is I want to achieve the Dean’s list at least once here for the final semester examination. I myself also would like to participate in activities organised by UTM itself as it will improve my communication skills etc. Lastly, becoming a person who is great in the IT field is my main purpose enrolling in this course/program.

  • What is the action/improvement/plan necessary for you to improve your potential in the industry?

The improvement that I seek is that I want to improve my skills on problem solving because we face so many inconveniences in our daily life. So as a student of computer science, I want to implement technology to face daily problems and  make our life easier. Lastly, I want to enhance my technical skills as well as soft skills because both are simultaneously important to excel in the computer science field.

  • Your opinion on whether this subject contributes to your knowledge on a specific area?

In my opinion, the subject Technology Information System (SECP 1513) is a wonderful subject as it opens up a student's vision about the technological world. For your information, I know nothing about Industry Revolution 4.0 until I enrolled in this subject and joined the talks given by the respective speaker. In this subject, there will be industrial talk every 2 weeks which includes the topic cloud computing, etc. The industrial talk really does give me so many insights, for instance using cloud computing to improve and increase employee efficiency.

  • Acknowledgement for lecturer

First and foremost I am grateful to God that I've been given the chance to become a student of computer science at UTM. I’ve gained tons of input by enrolling in this course as well as enhanced my skills. Not to forget my respectful lecturer Dr, Izyan Izzati who is a wonderful person who teaches me (SECP 1513) and also guides me and my team in the completion of assignments and tasks given every week. I really can’t describe how grateful I am to have Dr. Izyan as my lecturer. I'd like to express my appreciation to everyone who has helped me write this project, both directly and indirectly. Last but not least, thanks to my lecturers who are Dr. Razana Alwee, Dr Haswadi Hassan, Dr Tarmizi, Dr Izzati Norzilan and Dr Nina that guided me all the way through sem 1.
