MINI REPORT
I had the incredible opportunity to be part of OPERA'23, an Open Day Resak event that took place from 8th to 10th June. As a technical crew member, I was involved in various aspects of the event, including the cooking contest and the closing ceremony. In this essay, I will share my perspective on the event, highlighting the activities, my responsibilities, and the support I provided to different units in managing the activities.
OPERA'23 offered a wide range of activities that catered to the interests of attendees. From enlightening talk sessions led by experts to tantalizing food stalls, thrilling entertainment by Akim Rahman, a cooking contest, engaging games, and even a haunted house, there was something for everyone. The event truly aimed to provide a memorable experience for all who attended.
My primary responsibility during OPERA'23 was as part of the technical crew for the cooking contest. I was entrusted with the task of providing a P.A. speaker system to ensure clear communication during the contest. This involved setting up and operating the speaker system, ensuring that both the participants and the audience could hear everything clearly. It was a fulfilling role as I witnessed the participants showcasing their culinary skills and creating an exciting atmosphere for the audience.
In addition to the cooking contest, I was also a member of the technical team for the closing ceremony. Here, my role was to manage the speaker slides and play theme songs that complemented the ceremony. Collaborating with the speakers, I ensured that their presentation materials were ready and seamlessly integrated into the event. The theme songs I selected added a touch of grandeur and created a memorable ambiance during the closing ceremony.
Beyond my technical responsibilities, I also provided support to various units involved in managing the activities. This included assisting with logistics, coordinating with different teams, and ensuring the smooth execution of the attractions. It was gratifying to contribute to the overall success of OPERA'23 by lending a helping hand wherever needed. Collaborating with other teams and witnessing the event come together was a rewarding experience.
In conclusion, my involvement in OPERA'23 as a technical crew member allowed me to witness firsthand the magic and excitement of the event. From the captivating activities to my specific responsibilities in the cooking contest and closing ceremony, I played a role in creating a memorable experience for the attendees. The support I provided to different units further contributed to the overall success of the event. OPERA'23 was an unforgettable journey, leaving me with cherished memories and a sense of pride for being part of such an incredible open day experience.

SELF REFLECTION
First and foremost, being responsible for the technical aspects of the cooking contest taught me the importance of attention to detail and effective communication. Setting up and operating the P.A. the speaker system required meticulous planning and execution to ensure seamless communication between the participants and the audience. Through this experience, I learned the significance of being proactive and adaptable in handling unexpected challenges that arose during the event. It was gratifying to witness the participants' enthusiasm and culinary expertise, which further motivated me to deliver the best possible technical support.
As part of the technical team for the closing ceremony, managing the speaker slides and selecting theme songs helped me understand the importance of creating a captivating atmosphere. Collaborating with the speakers and ensuring their materials were ready showcased the value of effective coordination and time management. Playing theme songs that resonated with the event's tone and energy added a touch of magic to the closing ceremony, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees.
