Reflection
I am currently studying in Software Engineering and my goal is that I would be able to finish this course with flying marks, and I hope that I learned a lot of new things regarding this course. As for improvement, I need to improve my designing skills, to become a reliable intern or employee, I must be capable of handling other things that are not directly tied to my course such as designing, with this, I can be more dependable and easier to work with. I personally believe that this course taught me a lot on cloud computing, how it works, costing etc. This course has helped building my understanding on some topics that I know is valuable in near future.
The industry talks are highly beneficial for me, it keeps me updated with our current technology such as 5G and Wi-Fi 6, Cloud Computing and Power BI. For Power BI, I was confused as to why couldn’t we just use Microsoft Excel for data visualizing, I later realized that Power BI is more dedicated and more specialized in data visualization, without industry talks I wouldn’t know anything about it. Same goes to Wi-Fi 6, with added bandwidth, reduced latency and faster connection, I would’ve thought that Wi-Fi 6 is just a minor update, but industry talks opened my eyes and realized that it is just a huge upgrade over Wi-Fi 5.
Finally, I would really like to give my highest gratitude to our beloved lecturer, Dr Izyan Izzati, for always helping and manages us throughout the course. She is a wonderful teacher as she always keeps the class interactive and make sure that everyone is on track. She is also a creative lecturer as she will always find a platform that all students can participate, whether it is a quiz or mind-map.
