Apart from my self-esteem, learning English would open up more prospects. However, English plays a significant role in our lives. Most people around the world appreciate this, since it is the most spoken language. This is one of the key to higher education. Big businesses recruit skilled employees shortly after they make sure the people they hire are strong in English.

The English course offered by UTM is very well organized to develop our English skills. We had three online reading quizzes for the improvement of our reading and writing skills. There were Online Listening quizzes under My Line website as well, which I really appreciate because it really enhanced me to understand different accents. Other than these, the practices under Headway website included all four skills: Listening, Writing, Reading & Speaking which is really effective to hone our English Communication skills. There had been four to five group discussion assessments. And lastly we had to make a video on a topic. I believe this enhances the vessel of our creative ideas. This course is made more fascinating by the courtesy of Dr. Kew Si Na, our professor. Apart from these course activities, her generosity and extra attention to her students made this course more enjoyable and effective. She is really helpful to us, as we can reach her anytime we need.
