Mini Report:

The PERSATUAN MAHASISWA SAINS KOMPUTER organized a workshop program on 22nd October 2021, Friday, from 08:30 to 16:00 via Webex Meeting. The workshop consisted of various sessions, including one with our course coordinator discussing the semester system, grading system, and support system in UTM. Dr. Nubina conducted a session on "How to Cope up with ODL," and we also had a session with our senior.

I decided to participate in this workshop to expand my knowledge of skills and methods for online learning and to familiarize myself with important aspects of being a new UTM Computer Science student. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been unable to attend face-to-face classes, so understanding how to utilize online platforms and adapt to this learning environment is crucial for my studies.

During the workshop, I gained insights into coping with ODL and received valuable tips from my senior on participating in activities and maintaining good grades. Dr. Suhaila Mohammad Yusuf provided information on the semester system, grading system, and support available at UTM. I learned that maintaining a minimum CGPA of 2.00 is required to continue studying at UTM.

Self-Reflection:

This program significantly enhanced my knowledge of coping with ODL learning methods. Since the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a shift to online learning, adapting to this new approach has been challenging. However, this workshop motivated me by equipping me with knowledge and tips to navigate this learning method. Dr. Suhaila Mohammad Yusuf's session also shed light on the semester system, grading system, and support available at UTM. Now, I am aware of my study schedule and final examination dates, as well as the minimum grades required for continuing my studies at UTM. This newfound understanding motivates me to strive for better academic performance. Additionally, I now know who to seek support from when needed.

During a session with our senior in Software Engineering, we received recommendations on clubs and activities to join at UTM. We also learned about the available sports and activities on campus. Furthermore, our seniors shared tips for a more manageable academic life and maintaining good grades throughout our degree.

In conclusion, armed with this knowledge, I am determined to excel in coping with ODL learning methods. I will work diligently to achieve excellent grades and bring honor to both my school and my family.
