Activity in CGMA BOXTROLLS
The CGMA BOXTROLLS program is designed to enhance relationships among participants in each SECVH batch. It includes internship sharing sessions where seniors share their experiences and provide advice to juniors. Additionally, the program features activities that promote teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills, such as designing defending towers and attacking weapons using various types of recycled materials.
The program begins with senior participants sharing an overview of their internship experiences. Juniors are then given the opportunity to ask questions related to industrial training. During the Q&A session, an engaging element is added through a lucky draw, where selected seniors provide insights and advice on the questions raised.
After the Q&A session, a break allows participants to interact and get to know their senior counterparts. This informal networking time promotes connections and further learning opportunities.
Next, a team-building activity takes place. The organizing committee divides all CGMA members into groups using a fun and interactive method, such as candy selection. Each group is tasked with designing a defending tower and an attacking weapon using recycled materials provided by the committee. Effective teamwork and communication are essential for success. Groups present their creations to each other, followed by an exciting competition where the attacking weapons are used to target the defending towers. An award ceremony recognizes the groups with the highest scores, adding to the program's competitive and celebratory atmosphere.
Finally, to commemorate the CGMA BOXTROLLS program, a dedicated photography session is organized. All participants come together for a group photo, capturing the memorable moments and shared experiences of the program. This serves as a lasting reminder of the connections made and the valuable time spent during the CGMA BOXTROLLS program.
SELF-REFLECTION
CGMA BOXTROLLS program provides a valuable platform for participants to build relationships, gain insights from senior peers, and develop important skills. The activities incorporated in the program allowed participants to enhance various essential skills and qualities such as communication skills, problem solving skill and teamworking. In the team building activity, it allowed us to have communication and collaboration among group members. I observed that all group members were actively engaged and displayed excellent teamwork towards a common goal.
Personally, I found that I able to collaborate with my team members effectively. I actively contributed ideas, listened attentively to others, and facilitated productive discussions within my group. By using my problem solving skills, I able to contribute an innovative concept for our attacking weapon.
One challenge I encountered during the program I am not good at communication since I am a introvert person. But in this program, I am provided an opportunity to try to communicate with others and I think my self-confidence also improved after this program. So, I am very thankful to this program because it provided a good environment to improve my weakness.
