EXPEDEA is an annual outdoor activity organized by the CGMA to help the students relax from university life and enhance their physical wellbeing. But for EXPEDEA'22, it was conducted in online mode due to pandemic COVID-19. EXPEDEA'22 is participated by all SECVH student. Activity in EXPEDEA'22

The day before the activity began, the committee organized our team into different groups, and I was assigned to Team Ant Man. The first activity of the day was the briefing and ice-breaking session. The committee provided us with an overview of the program and gave instructions for the ice-breaking activity. During the ice-breaking session, we took turns introducing ourselves within our team. Although the activity was conducted online, some of us felt a bit shy about introducing ourselves. However, it was still a great opportunity to get to know each other.

After the ice-breaking session, we proceeded with the group activities. The first activity was The Telepathy Game. This game required our team to collectively choose one option out of several given by the facilitator. Each team member wrote down their option and showed it in front of the camera. The goal was to ensure that all team members chose the same option through mutual agreement.

The second group activity was 4 Pics 1 Word. In this activity, our team had to guess the word described by four given pictures. It required a lot of discussion and communication within the team to arrive at the correct answer. This activity challenged our teamwork and improved our communication skills.

We then took a break and had lunch before continuing with the remaining group activities. The third activity was Word Chain, where we had to use the last letter of a given word to create a new word, and so on. It required collective thinking and coordination to avoid losing the activity. This activity helped enhance our teamwork and thinking skills.

The fourth group activity was a Kahoot Quiz. The facilitator showed us a video, and each team had to answer questions based on the video using the Kahoot platform. This activity tested our observation skills and quick thinking.

Finally, the last group activity was Five Things. Each team had to send a representative who would provide five specific items based on a given topic. The representative had to think quickly and type the answers in the chat of the Google Meet platform.

After the group activities, the winners were announced, and we had a photography session to capture the memorable moments of the event. It was a day filled with engaging activities and opportunities for team building and personal growth.

SELF-REFLECTION

One of the major impacts of the activities on my personal development was the enhancement of my communication and teamwork skills. Engaging in ice-breaking sessions and group activities required active participation, effective communication, and collaboration with team members. I learned to express my thoughts and ideas clearly, listen attentively to others, and work together towards common goals through the group activity. This experience helped me become more confident in working within a team and improved my ability to communicate effectively in online settings.

I also discovered my strength in adapting to new and unfamiliar situations. As the event was conducted online, it required us to navigate different digital platforms and engage in activities in a virtual environment. I quickly adapted to the online format, embracing the challenges and actively participating in the activities according to the guidelines provided by the committee.

However, I did face challenges during the event, such as shyness during the ice-breaking session and the need to think quickly in certain activities. To overcome my shyness, I pushed myself to actively participate and engage in conversations with team members. But I felt satisfaction because I try to overcame my weakness and improve myself.
