About the programme
Every student enrolled in the UKQF2712/UKQS2222-Silat Gayong course must complete the "Service Learning" assignment as their only requirement. The student must always put themselves first by writing, utilizing, and running programs while also imparting to others the knowledge gained in this course. Students will be evaluated since this program is run from the perspective of generic skills that may be learned and used. Students can use the spirit of teamwork, leadership, motivation, communication, management, and even various other generic abilities and values that are shed and acquired through activities like these as a guide as they navigate an increasingly difficult life. Students' exposure to the community is increased via their transmission of knowledge and information

After enrolling in this program, I can affirm that this meeting significantly increased my understanding of the value of self-defense in Silat Melayu. The wisdom and traditions of the Silat that have been kept alive for a very long period must also be conserved. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is also helpful to me. As the treasurer for this program, I have to plan the funding and the budget for the overall activity that will be held throughout the whole program. It is very challenging for me because, it is quite hard to contact the admin in order to know about the procedure of budget approval. Despite all the ups and downs, I have managed to complete it with success with the help of my teammates.
This information made me think about the fundamentals of self defense, which anyone may use whenever they are in a dangerous situation. Additionally, Silat has taught me the value of respecting our instructors when it comes to learning.
Overall, the program had provided me the chance to manage a community-impact program despite dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic.
