CompFair 2023, organized by the students of the Faculty of Computing, is a highly anticipated annual IT event that aims to motivate and create awareness among students about potential job scopes in the IT industry. After two years of being conducted online, the event returned to its physical format, offering a platform for students to showcase their technical skills and gain insights into various career opportunities. Through engaging talks, workshops, and career guidance sessions, CompFair empowers students with industry knowledge, hones their technical skills, and enhances their generic skills. The event also fosters collaboration with industry partners, providing networking opportunities and potential internship or job placements. By bridging the gap between academia and the professional world, CompFair plays a vital role in shaping students' future careers and strengthening the bond between the academic community and the IT industry.

Participating in the coding detector competition on 14th June 2023 has been a valuable experience that has allowed me to further enhance and develop myself in various graduate attributes. Firstly, the competition has significantly improved my communication skills. In order to effectively convey my ideas and discuss strategies with my teammates, clear and concise communication was crucial. The competition provided me with the opportunity to practice articulating my thoughts and ideas under pressure, strengthening my ability to communicate effectively in high-stakes situations.

Furthermore, the competition has honed my thinking skills, particularly in problem-solving and critical thinking. The coding challenges presented in the competition required quick thinking and the ability to analyze complex problems in order to devise efficient solutions. I learned to approach problems from different perspectives, evaluate various strategies, and make informed decisions under time constraints. This experience has enhanced my ability to think critically and adapt my problem-solving approach when faced with new challenges.

Moreover, the competition offered a platform to showcase my leadership and teamworking skills. As a member of a team, we need to cooperate to achieve the same goal which is to debug the given code. The impact of our cooperation, we manage to get third place in the competition. From the result, I believe that good cooperation among group members can lead to successful outcomes and achievements.

Lastly, participating in the competition has contributed to my scholarship as a student. The competition required me to apply the knowledge and skills acquired throughout my academic journey, putting theory into practice. It challenged me to stay updated with the latest coding techniques, algorithms, and programming languages, furthering my scholarly pursuits. Additionally, engaging in the competition provided an avenue for continuous learning and improvement, allowing me to expand my knowledge base and stay abreast of industry trends and advancements.

In conclusion, the coding detector competition has been a transformative experience that has allowed me to grow and develop in multiple graduate attributes.    Participating in the CompFair 2023 event was a highly justified decision due to its significance as one of the largest annual IT events organized by the Faculty of Computing. The event offered a unique opportunity to gain academic and IT knowledge while also providing valuable insights into potential job scopes for each course. By attending talks, workshops, and engaging in various activities, I could enhance my technical skills, broaden my perspectives, and establish connections with industry professionals. The event's focus on motivating students and raising awareness about career opportunities made it a compelling platform for personal and professional development.
2. The Graduate Attributes that are focused on:
   CompFair 2023 strongly emphasized key graduate attributes, including leadership and teamworking skills, thinking skills, communication skills, and scholarship.Through activities like coding competitions and treasure hunts, participants developed leadership and teamwork abilities. Workshops on cybersecurity and AI enhanced thinking skills. Guest speakers and networking opportunities improved communication skills. The event also provided valuable academic and IT knowledge, promoting scholarship and a culture of continuous learning. CompFair 2023 was a platform for participants to showcase their diverse abilities.
3. Content of the activities:
   CompFair 2023 offered a diverse range of activities to promote learning, skill development, and networking. The event included guest speaker sessions and workshops covering cybersecurity, data science, and artificial intelligence. Participants also took part in coding competitions and a treasure hunting activity, fostering problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
