SECP1513-02 TEKNOLOGI DAN SISTEM MAKLUMAT (TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM)

This assignment enhances my knowledge about all the components inside a normal computer case which are Input Devices, Output Devices, Secondary Storage Devices, Processor and Primary Storage Devices and how the arrangement of it. 

Although I couldn't carry this out at the computer lab in UTM, I am lucky to have a abandoned PC to rearrange the components of it.

Introduction

Design thinking helps prepare student for a world where skills such as teamwork, problem solving, communication, analysis, creativity and the ability to influence others is becoming increasingly important in the work force. 

The process of design thinking

Based on our research, we found that a lot of beginners had a hard time at memorizing command-line interface (CLI command) and tend to get bored at the very beginning of their programming journey. The lack of interesting elements in a certain language such as colorful icons is one of the factors why beginners are quitting their programming journey. Hence, we decided to build an application which will make programming interesting by implementing graphical user interface (GUI) in our application and other functions to aid the beginner in starting their journey.

Reflection

My goal/dream regarding this program is to gain as much knowledge as I can from this program and apply them in my future career. I want myself to be very prepared with all the future challenges and requirements needed. I always wanted to set up a global IT and digital transformation company like Avenga. I wish to improve Malaysia with Big Data Analytics and 5th gen of networks.

This design thinking assignment has very much impacted my ways of solving a problem. I will have the most efficient ways to solve my clients’ problems following the five phases of design thinking, which is empathize, define, ideate, prototype and test. This assignment gives me a very good platform to perform these 5 phases of design thinking and I gain so much experience from it. This experience helps me to be more easily incorporated in my projects in future.

To make myself more challengeable and competitive in the industry, I should work harder on all kinds of knowledge like Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics and Cloud Systems. From this assignment, I also realized that logical thinking skill is very important to solve problems efficiently and effectively.

Introduction

This talk explains about the 9 component of industrial 4.0, education 4.0, commerce 4.0, IoT and the jobs related to industrial 4.0. 

Reflection

In this industrial talk, I found out that our country is improving rapidly. We need to be very prepared for the Industry 5.0. Technology like 5G, IETC, are needed urgently in order for our country to compete with other third world country and achieve the first world country status. This talk makes me motivated to make myself to become more knowledgeable and help in Malaysia’s development.

This talk explain about the importance and trending of IT Project Management. Good project management is vital in order for the success of large-scale projects. The dominant explanation of the project management will increase the efficiency of a project.

This talk was conducted online through Webex and it was a great experience and I have learnt so much about the importance of IT project management and trending in IT project management. 

Reflection

From this talk, I’ve learned a lot about IT Project Management. We use the component of it to complete the tasks as well. It helps us to reduce the time, risk and cost for this task. It’s important for us to take lessons from this task and use it on other tasks.  I have also learnt that emotional intelligence (EQ) is very important to be successful in our career.

Introduction

This talk is was held by alumni from UTM from the industry.  The three alumni who presented were Tan Yong Keong who is currently working as a data science engineer for around a year and a half, Qistina Batrisyia who is currently working as a social media data analyst for a year now and lastly Mohamad Zamarul Akmal who is currently working as a data engineer. The purpose of this talk that was initiated by the lecturers of the subject Technology and Information is to provide exposure on the chances and challenges to secure a job in this pandemic since the Covid-19 pandemic has given a big impact on our country’s economy.

Reflection

From this sharing session, it really highlights what and how you should play your part in both study life and career life. Those information are very precious for us who are still in study life and will be stepping in to career life soon in the next few years. This session really motivates me to participate in more programs that allows me to build up my softskills and confidence. I can see that both of them are the one of the key of employment these days. It’s unfortunate that we couldn’t meet the alumni during this COVID-19 pandemic, it would be great to attend it offline and feel the vibes. All in all, I still enjoy all the informations and experiences shared by the alumni online. All of them were priceless to me and my future path.
