In today’s world, data holds great importance. Data and analysis make use of different processes and algorithms for finding insights into the data. It has an impact on most of the activities in our daily lives. Many leading organizations are relying on data for various purposes. The probability and data analysis course is effective for compiling and analysing data with big samples.
The world changes rapidly and the only constant thing that is in our hands is our health. Therefore, we chose "Personal Key Indicators of Heart Disease" as our project 2 topic. The main purpose of this study is to show the key data of personal key indicators of heart disease such as BMI, sleeping time and mental health. The data set was a secondary data source that was retrieved from the Kaggle website. The data was collected by Kamil Pytlak who is a Bioinformatics Student at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Lifescience.
From project 2, I have learned how to use the RStudio and manage to analyse the statistic. I learned how to produce scatter plot, linear regression model from the selected variables. At the beginning of the project, I am not familiar with the RStudio so I did a lot of research on Google and Youtube. Me and my teammates also did a slide presentation in PowerPoint format to make the video presentation more interesting and easy to understand our findings from the research. Throughout project 2, I learned how to apply the 2 sample hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, regression analysis, goodness of fit test and chi-square test of independence through RStudio.
Last but not least, special thanks to our lecturer, Dr Nor Azizah Ali. She has been the best in educating us and giving us not only knowledge but also experience. Not just that, I also really appreciate that I have such cooperative teammates doing projects along with me. In short, I enjoyed this course more than I expected.
