Position/Role in the Activities

As a participant in the activities, my role is to actively engage and take part in online meetings and health talks. This includes attending the virtual session, listening to the speaker, asking questions or sharing insights during discussions to enhance understanding of self-care.

Justification for joining the activities:

The Health Talk, "Our Body, Our Right," provided an opportunity to gain valuable insights into self-awareness and self-care. As an attendee, the justification for joining the activity was to enhance personal knowledge and understanding of how to love and care for oneself. Recognizing the importance of self-care in maintaining overall well-being and its relevance to personal and professional growth motivated participation in this event.

The event focuses on learning to protect and love your own body, which promotes the development of self-care habits and practices. This attribute emphasizes taking responsibility for our health and well-being.

Content of the activities:

The Health Talk was conducted via the Webex platform by expert speakers in the field of self-care and holistic wellness. The content covered various aspects, including:

  • Understanding self-awareness: The session emphasized the importance of being in tune with our bodies, recognizing its signals and needs, and developing a deeper understanding of ourselves.
  • Exploring self-care practices: Participants were introduced to different self-care practices that contribute to overall well-being. 
  • Promoting self-love and body positivity: The talk highlighted the significance of embracing and loving our bodies as they are, promoting body positivity, and cultivating a healthy body image.
  • Seeking professional support: The Health Talk addressed the importance of seeking professional help when facing physical or mental health challenges. Participants were encouraged to prioritize their well-being and access appropriate resources when needed.

Self-reflection

The Health Talk provided valuable insights and knowledge on self-awareness and self-care. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of being attuned to their bodies, nurturing physical and mental well-being, and developing a positive relationship with themselves. As a participant, my role is to actively engage in the Sweet Repeats (SRE '23) activities. I have contributed to the event by participating in the different activities listed and enjoying the overall experience.

Participation in the Sweet Repeats (SRE '23) program was justified by the desire to make a positive impact through charity while having fun. The event provided an opportunity to demonstrate social responsibility and contribute to the community while also engaging in activities that foster personal growth.

The Sweet Repeats (SRE '23) program offered a range of activities to engage participants. These activities included a charity talk, eating contest, karaoke session, movie nights, food truck experience, lucky draw, fashion show, and busking. Each activity aimed to create an inclusive and enjoyable environment while aligning with the program's goals of charity and personal growth.

Participating in the Sweet Repeats (SRE '23) program was a fulfilling experience. It provided an avenue to contribute to charity, develop interpersonal skills, and expand cultural awareness. As a participant in the COMPFAIR'23 Resume Workshop, my role is to actively engage in the workshop sessions, listen to the guidance provided by Dr Suhaila Binti Mohd Yusof, and actively participate in any interactive exercises or discussions.

Justification in joining the activities:

Participating in the COMPFAIR'23 Resume Workshop was justified by the desire to enhance resume writing skills, improve career prospects, and gain a competitive edge in the job market. The workshop provided an opportunity to learn from an experienced senior lecturer, Dr. Suhaila Binti Mohd Yusof, and receive guidance on creating an outstanding resume. The aim was to gain practical knowledge and insights that could be applied to future job applications.

  • Professionalism: Participants were guided on how to create a professional resume that effectively highlights their skills, experiences, and qualifications.

Self-reflection

Participating in the COMPFAIR'23 Resume Workshop was a valuable experience. The workshop provided practical tips and strategies for crafting an impressive resume. Through the guidance of Dr. Suhaila Binti Mohd Yusof, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of professionalism, effective communication, and career readiness in resume writing.

The workshop helped improve participants' confidence in presenting their skills and experiences on paper. The interactive discussions and exercises facilitated a better understanding of resume structuring and formatting, ensuring that participants could create compelling resumes tailored to their career goals.
