I participated in the program as a committee member

Justification in joining the activity
I join the activity as a committee member because I want to gain more experience in the field that I have never done before. This activity is a long period event where there will be more sub activities will be held in the long run. I also wanted to gain more acquaintances because SINAR not only involve undergraduate students, but postgraduate students also participate as the committee members.

The Graduate Attributes that are focused on
One of the graduate attributes that are focused on is communication skills where I need to continuously engage with all committees in order to complete our work. Other than that, thinking skills attribute was also focused on as I was assigned in documentation unit where our unit need to create a workbook for the activity in SINAR. My thinking skills are used and enhanced in the design of the workbook and the content that need to be put in the workbook. Finally, leadership and teamworking skills attribute was used in every steps of completing the workbook. The documentation unit consists of only 3 members including me and we need to work together efficiently to get the best result from our work.

Content of the activity
The aim of SINAR was to give more knowledge to Kolej Tun Dr Ismail student by holding basic classes. Basic English Course is one of the sub activities in SINAR that has been completed. The activity was held on Saturday, 27th March 2021 from 9 in the morning until 4 in the afternoon. There was a total of 30 participants and the speaker was Ms. Nur Amalina binti Zulkifli Airwan, a postgraduate student. There was 25 committee members for SINAR involved in succeeding the Basic English Course activity including me.

This program aims to open knowledge opportunity for UTM and KTDI student specifically where it aims to held few classes for the students. As I joined as a committee member, there are many impact of the program on the development of my graduate attribute. This program require a lot of communication. Even if the program was held online, there are many meeting held to discuss the progress of each unit. I was assigned as a member of the documentation unit where we need to communicate with the teaching staff for a particular class in order to create the workbook for the class. 

My strength toward the program was that, I love to type and my work for the team revolves around typing in the content of the workbook for the class.

The challenge that I faced was the situation because of Covid-19 pandemic where all communication need to be done online but it was easily overcome as all meeting and discussion date were set early, thus it does not collide with other things.
