SECI2143 Project #2 Reflection

Reflection Project #2 SECI2143

All praises to Allah and His blessing for completing assignments, especially this project. I thank God for all the opportunities, trials and strength that have been showered on me. I experienced so much during this process, not only from the academic aspect but also from the aspect of personality. My humblest gratitude to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) whose way of life has continuously guided me. First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank my lecturer Dr Nor Azizah Ali for her guidance, understanding, patience and most importantly, she has provided positive encouragement and a warm spirit to finish all the assignments and projects. It has been a great pleasure and honour to have her as my lecturer.  May God shower the above-cited personalities with success and honour in their life.

Regarding Project 2, entitled Student Performance Data Analysis, I learned a lot from this project and gained a better understanding of it. I learned from the class through this project, such as hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, chi-square test, and ANOVA. Before starting the project, I researched all the relevant topics to gain a better knowledge of analytical testing and ensure that the project was completed successfully. It started with discussing with my group members Adam Fahmi, Fikri and Mikhail about the right data to test their respective relationships.

During the course of this project, all members of the group will work well together and show the spirit of teamwork. Mikhail, one of our group members,  is not on campus, but we were able to successfully divide our duties. This all happens for communication. Communication is one of the biggest factors for our group to complete this project. This allowed all members to complete their work on time.

After selecting all the suitable data to run this project,  we divide the task fairly among the group members based on their respective self-skills in this project. I am in charge of the chi-square part. By accepting tasks, we learned a lot about how to use datasets to generate appropriate nulls and alternative hypotheses. I think the hardest part of this project is using the RStudio software to find the values ??of some variables. This is because it requires a  basic knowledge of the syntax of the RStudio software. I and Adam Fahmi referred to all the R programming slides provided by Dr and the most appropriate method on the internet, especially YouTube.

Apart from that, I am grateful to the Dr Azizah planned such a group project for my class. If you don't have a group project, it's very useful because you may not yet know how to draw a graph via R programming. Dr Azizah was also very helpful in choosing the right dataset, especially for our group projects.

In a nutshell, I learned how to perform statistical tests, how to draw conclusions about the statistical tests performed, and gained a lot of knowledge through hands-on experience in group projects.
