As soon as semester 2 started, I was trying to get invloved with any program for the sake of merit I suppose. Then, there's flyers posted wanting any student that might be interested in being a facilitator, and I thought why not, so yes, I applied and fortunately got in and I was assigned on being in the Leadership team. Basically, the program that I participated was actually a program involving highschool student which only consist of those who are a school prefects, where the program main goal was enhancing the students to increased their leadeship and honed their skills in leading people so that the future generations produce qualitize leaders. Thus, my job was sharpening their leadership, and we were assigned quite a few games and activities required for the students to be able to make a decison by their self and we as facilitator were there as a catalyst and guider. As in my situation, I have to handle a group consist of 6 boys and 4 girls, by that, the major in my watch was boys. Eventhough, the students are school prefects, but not all of them were as confident and brave as the other student and it is quite hard for them to actually to get out from their comfort zone. In my group there were 3 peers that were unable to communicate well at first as they were truly quiet and barely making conversations during ice-breaking session. As I observed well all the behaviours of my team members, I was thinking team work is the essence that were needed to be able highlight each students leadership, and to do that I kept alternate the leader for each activities given. By doing so, each of them could get a taste of how important it is to actually deciding on a decision and how crucial communication is among ourselves in order to make something work. As the activities going, I could see changes in their behaviours in such short amount of time, their team work obviously getting better not just that every individual in my groups were able to get out from their comfort zone and most importantly they actually finds communicating is important in any situation. When the activities havve fully subside, it's the time for giving out presents to winners and special nomination for those who shines the most in represnting good leadership, and by surprise our group managed to place second and one of our group members were selected for the special price for showing good leadership. To end it, even though it's just a one day program I can see that all of the students will bring back something valuable when they get home and comprehend that making and defining decisions are something that need to be look out to, because they already get the gesture of when you made wrong decision, defining wrong understanding, it will end up wih nothing.
