Mini Report on CompFair’24
CompFair’24, held on November 16, 2023, marked a triumphant achievement by the Persatuan Mahasiswa Sains Komputer (PERSAKA) at the Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Taking place at N28a, the event was more than a showcase of technological progress; it served as a dynamic entry point into the diverse realms of computing for both UTM students and the broader community. The Faculty of Computing brimmed with energy as CompFair’24 unfolded, offering an immersive experience through seminars, hands-on workshops, games, and exhibitions.
The inauguration, led by Prof. Ts. Dr. Wan Mohd Nasir Bin Wan Kadir, the esteemed Dean of the Faculty of Computing, underscored the event's dual importance in academic and professional realms. Prof. Wan Mohd Nasir highlighted CompFair’24 as a catalyst for community building, creating an environment that motivates students to enhance their knowledge and expand their professional networks. Beyond traditional learning avenues, the event featured exciting competitions like Explorace, Fast Finger Competition, Coding Competition, and an Exhibition Company. These platforms allowed participants to showcase skills, exchange ideas, and foster healthy competition within the technological community, making CompFair’24 a cornerstone in the cultivation of a vibrant and collaborative technological ecosystem at UTM.
