Life seems incomplete without a plan. From day one, we are placed on a path that we are supposed to follow. Our parents and teachers give us the expectations they have for us and we set out to discover what this treasure map has in store for us.Yet, we become so obsessed with these expectations that we feel everything in our lives must go according to plan, we have a strict perception of how our future should work. Yes, eMooVit Technology Sdn Bhd wasn't my first choice, but it was definitely the best thing that could happen to me.

 eMooVit Technology Sdn Bhd located currently in Cyberjaya is a high-tech company which business focus on development of autonomous vehicle software solution in Malaysia. Together with MooVita Ptd Ltd, Singapore, an A’STAR Spinoff company as partners that builds self-driving technologies for autonomous movers (level 4). MooVita is one of the first teams to put autonomous vehicles in Singapore public roads.

It’s been an incredible roller coaster that’s left me wondering where the last 12 weeks went!  It wasn’t a walk in the park! Actually starting my internship plunged me into a daunting world of new systems and processes, and tasks that I wasn’t sure I could do. You will get support when you need it, but don’t expect to have your hand held. I suppose I did at the start, and quickly realised that I needed to start getting on with things and stop asking for permission. I always have an interest in autonomous car and by attending this company is somehow like a dream to me to learn the things that I am curious of. The environment was so much different and new to me. Perhaps, all the experiences while having internship in eMooVit will be beneficial in future.

At the end of my industrial training at eMooVit Sdn Bhd, I learn a good deal of new knowledge and gain a lot of brilliant experiences especially in the field of autonomous vehicle. Autonomous vehicle is without a doubt the latest trending technology, to be a small fraction of being a developer of this technology are not an easy opportunity. In other word, rare. Building an autonomous vehicle is a very complex interconnected system, but each problem can be broken down into manageable sub problems to finally solve the greater problem of autonomous driving. During this programme, I worked side-by-side with other professional employee, learn and worked along with them tremendously enhance my skills in both theoretically and practically which was limited before then. Lessons in lecture classes were fully utilized and expanded during working with the company. 

Many useful skills were learned and obtained. Ranging from electronics to algorithms to deep learning, the knowledge is likely to be very relevant to my field. I got to familiarize myself with more vehicle terms, doing electrical wiring for embedded computer and sensors, installation of external actuator, develop Low-Level controller and some more. Lastly, the most highlighted improvement is upon myself. This industrial training programme, shaped my personalities and attitudes the way beyond my expectation, I learnt that work in a systematic team formation are more efficient and effective. All this experience indeed will be beneficial to technical students like me in future career.

Overall, I am very happy to be part of this company.  The world works in mysterious ways. Sometimes things will turn out in your favor. But when they don’t, you just have to roll with it. Your life will not turn out as perfectly as you imagined. This doesn't, however, mean you can’t live a life full of joy and satisfaction. You just need to stay open-minded and be easygoing when things change. How you approach the path to your most important goals is dictated by your interpretation of the constant curve balls the world throws you. If you react with a positive attitude, odds are you’ll be in for a positive outcome.
