Case study Updates on professionalism and morals- SKEE4012

Professionalism & morals among the Electrical Engineering Students of UTM

A total of 52 students have participated in the questionnaire which consists of several questions relating to their understandings of professionalism and morals. Several faculties participated as well but the designated task for me was to analyze the 23 FKE respondents. This questionnaire gives us the rough estimate on where the FKE students stand on their principles regarding professionalism and morals in a work place.

After analyzing, it was found that, most of them knew the principles of professionalism and morals. A majority of them showed that they are capable of being professional in a work place as well as maintaining their moral and commendable attitudes.

On the down side, there are some respondents who claim that they will do everything it takes to achieve a target even if its to sacrifice their moral intuition. While others will opt to maintain their morals depending on the situation that they are experiencing.

This survey conducted has given us a clear sense that the most of the students of FKE have what it takes to become successful in the working arena and they are well capable of learning on the job if they maintain their professionalism and bear in mind that morals is an integral part of the engineering industry.
