Mini Project Report
Webinar Disiplin Anak Muda, or more commonly referred to as WDAM'22, was organized by the Student Residential College Committee (JKM) of 2021/2022 session. The purpose of this program was to inspire students at colleges and universities to adopt a responsible and disciplined attitude by delivering a message of optimism and perseverance concerning disciplines. Furthermore, it is an excellent opportunity to inform students at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) on the institution's rules and policies.
The program began at 9.45 p.m. on April 21, 2022, with a speech by Kolej Tun Dr. Ismail Principal, Lieutenant Colonel Professor Madya Dr. Mohd Noor Azli bin Hj. Ali Khan. At first, a thorough explanation of the "Universities and Colleges Act 1971" was provided. The speaker also suggested that the students read the "Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Student Rule Book" that was distributed to them during the first week of the semester's Student Friendly Week. The speaker brought up a number of actions and policies that the college and UTM had enacted, like the admission process and the UTM College Rules and Discipline 1990/1991. (Amendment 2006).
I joined this program as a participant as I was curious on the rules and regulations that I need to follow during my period of being a UTM student. I was happy to be able to join this program as I gained some new knowledge from this program.
Self Reflection
From this program, I have gained some new knowledge especially regarding the rules and regulations that needs to be followed. From here, I have told myself to improve my adaptability skills where i have to adapt to all the rules and regulations as a UTM students. This program also improved my integrity skills where I have to follow the rules and not break any regulations during my time as a UTM student in order to not defamed the schools’ name.
Moreover, this program has improved my teamworking skills where the program has constantly reminded that the UTM residents needs to remind each other to maintain the well-being of themselves and others.
Overall, the program was indeed a great experience. I have learnt many skills from this program and will apply the skills in my future.
