Mini Project Report
Website Coding workshop is program collaboration of UTM Accounting Club and Persaka Club. This program teaches students from faculty of management about basic HTML and CSS coding. This workshop is to allow accounting to have some knowledge about the basic HTML and CSS coding in which they can use this for their future business.
The organizer was the UTM Accounting club (UTMAC). The program was held at Active Learning Classroom GF-03, Faculty of Management on Tuesday, 10th January 2023. The duration of these program was from 2:30pm to 5:30pm. For the mentors, there were two sessions where each session is 1 hour, session 1 (2:45pm – 3:45pm) and session 2 (4:00pm – 5:00pm).
I have volunteered myself to be one of the mentors in this program. It was my first time in to be a mentor and present in front of many people. I was grateful for taking this opportunity because I gain new experiences from the program preparation.
Self Reflection
Throughout the program preparation, I gained ample experience as a mentor. There was one leader elected for the mentor team. He was a great and efficient leader. He tried to make sure everything goes well and he will always check the slide presentation from time to time. I admired his leadership during the program preparation.
Since this is my first time to actually present in front of people that I actually met for the first time. I have actually gain new experiences. This program has taught me to implement critical thinking as the time given for each mentor was only 15 minutes since it’s only a 2-hour session so I had to think fast by giving a summary for my part of teaching.
Lastly, the program was a success despite having a limited time to present everything for each mentor. Through this program, I have been able to gain new skills in being a mentor. I am excited to try more opportunities in the being a mentor. I would imply all the experiences and knowledge I learn throughout this program in the future.
