Philosophy and current issue UHIS1022
Philosophy of Education is the study of the purpose, process, nature and ideal of education. Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and the mental processes. It seeks to understand our thoughts, feelings and actions. The purpose of educational psychology is to identify and study learning methods to better understand how people absorb and retain new information. If we do not have the discipline of psychology then many people would give up learning as teachers would fail the attempt to effectively make students acquire knowledge and skills, says student. "I would love to see how the philosophy and the Psychology of education could be embraced so that it can contribute to a meaningful future," says student, who is studying philosophy at St Andrews University. "This course has been fun and outstanding as everyone debates on current issues with the world and learning from each other," adds student, after the final on Thursday. After finishing this course i feel like my mind has opened up to new concepts about life and the stuff that we didn't see before like Metaphysics. It has taught me about ethics and made me realize that we should be knowledgeable about the issues of this world and how to confront them.
