AWS Course
We were required to do the AWS Course. Here's a snippet of my certification. The completion of this course was moderately easy and was not too time consuming. Any extra resources that I needed could be found online as well. The one thing I like about this course is how I can do it according to my own pace. Therefore I often filled in my free time by completing this course. The labs were really fun to play around with, and I felt like I had my very own sandbox environment to experiment with. Ample time was given to complete the labs as well, so it was not stressful or pressuring at all. I feel like adding the requirement to complete this AWS course was a great choice. This is because the amount of information I learned was extremely useful. Not to mention, if I were not to be introduced to this course, I would not have known a lot of key components that were being taught in this course. Overall I had a great experience completing this course and I do definitely look forward towards participating in many more other online courses like these to gain more insight on my field of study.

What I've gathered from the Industrial Talks :
The industrial talks have definitely exposed me to the real world of the technology field. The speakers were extremely talented and insightful. Each speaker had shared their own life experiences while being involved in the technology field. They have also given us lots of advice and words of wisdom which will definitely help me to improve myself in this field. Overall, the industrial talks were really helpful to me, and I enjoyed participating in each and every one of them.
My personal takeaway from this course
The Technology and Information Systems course has definitely broadened my knowledge towards the technology field. This course has exposed me to the rapidly evolving field of information systems and information technology developments, as well as their applications in everyday life, both at home and at business. Various components of information systems and information technology had been covered in this course, including hardware, software, networks, communications, the internet, multimedia, graphics, systems applications, 4IR, cloud computing, and data analytics.
List of chapters we have learnt :
CHAPTER 1: Overview of Technology and Information Systems (People, Software, Hardware, Data, connectivity)
CHAPTER 2: The Internet, The Web and Electronic Commerce
CHAPTER 3: Basic Application Software and Specialized Application Software
CHAPTER 4: System Software
CHAPTER 5: The System Unit
CHAPTER 6: Input and Output
CHAPTER 7: Secondary Storage
CHAPTER 8: Communications
CHAPTER 9: Privacy and Security
CHAPTER 10: Information Systems
CHAPTER 11: Databases
CHAPTER 12: Systems Analysis and Design
CHAPTER 13: Programming and Languages
In essence, as someone who has very minimal background knowledge in the Computer Science field, this course is definitely an eye opener for me. Upon the completion of this course, I now have covered the very basics of information systems and information technology. I'm definitely looking forward towards deepening my knowledge and skills in this subject in the mere future.

Here I'll be writing about my TIS Assignments
Here, we expanded on what we've worked on previously in project part one. We also created a prototype for the application.
I personally felt our final project was one of the most fun and engaging projects that I've ever participated in this whole semester. Here, my groupmates and I have created an application idea called Family Plus. The process of finding an app idea, creating it and putting it into action and making decisions about it (ie : finding what's the best cloud architecture to use etc.) was a lot of work, however it was extremely fun in the process. Overall, everyone involved had put in lots of thought and effort into developing this idea.
Based off on Industrial talk 7. This assignment mainly revolved around the usage of data. Personally, I feel that this was one of the most challenging assignments out of all the others. Learnt a lot from this talk though.
In this assignment we had to derive information from industrial talk 5 and 6.

In assignment 2, we had to study and elaborate on what we've collected from Industrial Talk 3 and 4.

My lecturer, Dr. Izyan Izzati bt. Kamsani is one of the best lecturers I've ever met. She is someone who has a very deep knowledge in this course. Her way of teaching is very quick, concise and understandable. She is also very understandable and cares about her students wellbeing. Had an amazing semester with her and I'm definitely looking towards meeting her again in my second semester.
Yes, it does. All this while, I've been entirely focusing on software-related projects and information. This course has actually made me learn and improvise on my understanding towards the importance of hardware as well. This course has 13 chapters, which have their fair share of software and hardware knowledge. Therefore without this subject, my knowledge towards this field would be imbalanced/insufficient.
As it is well known to all, that the Computer Science field is definitely a field that has one of the most highest competitions.
Here's some of my actions and plans that I plan to take soon to improve my potential in the industry later on :-
- Join a local/international level Computer Science club/community online and gain insights on how to improvise myself in the field.
- Join hackathons
- Improvise and master my existing programming languages
- Self-learn a new programming language by joining an online course
- Make my own personal projects in my free time
- Lead and become the CTO for my co-found start-up company, Asetpro
- Be completely open to constructive criticism from other programmers
Computer science is a vital field for future professions around the world, thanks to the fast-changing connected environment. Computer science is also responsible for making our everyday lives easier and more enjoyable: cell phones, internet shopping, and social networking are all thanks to computer science. My goal as a future software engineer in the future is to prove that being in the Computer Science field does not limit me to only contributing towards the advancement of technology, but also allows me to contribute to the people and also the environment. I would love to give back towards the society and environment as a whole in the form of service, by using my expertise in software engineering. Moreover, I would also like to be a role-model to young women to encourage them to get into and start contributing to the computer science field.
