RSS
As I reflect on my experience as the Vice Director of the Libyan booth at Arabic Culture Day 2022, I am overwhelmed with a sense of pride and accomplishment. This event, held on the 17th of December 2022 at UTM, was a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in the rich tapestry of Arabic culture and share it with others. Organized by ISS Libya in collaboration with other ISS groups and UTM, this event was a celebration of diversity and unity.
My role as the Vice Director of the Libyan booth was both exciting and challenging. I was responsible for coordinating various aspects of our booth's presentation, from designing the booth layout to organizing cultural performances and exhibits. Working alongside a dedicated team, I had the privilege of showcasing the beauty and depth of Libyan culture to a diverse audience.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role was the chance to break stereotypes and misconceptions about Libya and its culture. Through engaging displays, interactive activities, and informative presentations, we aimed to provide an authentic representation of our heritage. From the traditional music and dance performances to the mouthwatering Libyan cuisine we offered, our booth became a hub of cultural exchange and understanding.
One of the key takeaways from this experience was the importance of teamwork and effective communication. Collaborating with my fellow booth members, I learned how to harness the strengths of each team member to create a harmonious and impactful presentation. This event reinforced the idea that cultural diversity is a source of strength, not division, and that by working together, we can bridge gaps and foster mutual respect.
Additionally, being part of Arabic Culture Day 2022 allowed me to forge connections with people from various backgrounds. It was heartwarming to see visitors from different cultures genuinely interested in learning about Libya and the Arabic world. Conversations flowed freely, and I had the chance to learn as much from others as they did from us.
As I look back on this experience, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to represent Libya and contribute to the success of Arabic Culture Day 2022. It was a reminder of the power of cultural exchange in promoting understanding and unity. I am proud to have played a part in showcasing the beauty of Arabic culture and hope that our efforts continue to inspire openness and appreciation for diversity.
In conclusion, my role as Vice Director of the Libyan booth at Arabic Culture Day 2022 was an enriching and eye-opening experience. It reaffirmed my belief in the importance of cultural exchange and collaboration. I look forward to future opportunities to promote intercultural understanding and celebrate the richness of our global heritage.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SOCIETY - LIBYA

As the Treasurer of the International Student Society (ISS) - Libya in 2022, I had the privilege of serving our diverse international student community at UTM. In this role, I managed the society's finances, honing my financial management and organizational skills.
I also had the opportunity to connect with university administrators and other student organizations, learning how to advocate for ISS Libya while considering the broader needs of our community.
Beyond financial responsibilities, ISS Libya organized various cultural and social events throughout the year, fostering a sense of belonging among international students. Witnessing our collective success in fundraising and event attendance was truly rewarding.
In hindsight, my tenure as Treasurer was a year of personal growth, skill development, and meaningful contributions to the international student community. I look forward to the continued success and positive impact of ISS Libya on future UTM international students.
