Industrial Training Introduction
Industrial training is an important phase of a student life. A well planned, properly executed and evaluated industrial training helps a lot in developing a professional attitude. It developed an awareness of industrial approach to problem solving, based on a broad understanding of process and mode of operation of organization. The aim and motivation of this industrial training is to receive discipline, skills, teamwork and technical knowledge through a proper
training environment. During a period of three months training (12weeks) at Intel Microelectronics (M) Sdn. Bhd, I was assigned to assist my colleague in reject validation and some hardware/products validation. Throughout this industrial training, I have been exposed to the real working environment such as debug on failure reason, solve problems based on the bug, preparing & presenting the progress work to my colleague and so on. I was assigned to Intel MPE PPV PCH team to have my onsite training and helping my colleague with some tasks.

I was assigned a buddy, Mr Teoh Soon Yan by my Team Engineering Manager which is also my industrial supervisor Mr Goh Weng Wah due to Mr Teoh Soon Yan are going through the same MDC Elite Intern program like me last time. Mr Teoh have given me a lot of suggestion, guide me with technical skill and experience sharing during my internship. Self-Reflection
Intel is a company that has a great achievement in semiconductor chip manufacturing as well as it having a good working culture in the company such as having a wellnomics apps in the company laptop to prevent employee hit some wellnomics problem. Not only this, the company management are open minded and do cares about employee concern and try to helps. I felt very appreciated because I got the chance to having onsite training. From this I could expose to the working environment and get more insight about how an engineer works and how they solve problem when they face challenges. Moreover, I could see how department are work together to achieve a big goal. Along my internship I have learned a lot not only technical skill but soft skills also about communication skill, data tabulating and presenting skill, be brave to voice out when there is different opinion, creatively, independent, problems solving skills and so on where it could not be learned in university. By having internship in a huge and organised company like Intel was a good opportunity for me to experience the working ethics, culture and environment before graduate. In conclusion, I am really appreciating for all the people who teaches me a lot during my industrial training. I am thankful for Intel Microelectronics (M) Sdn. Bhd for accepting me as their internship students, allowing me to grow alongside.
