Mini report
This event is hosted by Kelab Bahasa Mandarin UTM which held to celebrate the Lunar New Year in year 2020. The objective of this event is to promote the chinese culture to other races of student in UTM and also to entertain UTM student. Before the event, there are 2 things need to prepare. One is setup and decorate the game booth in N24 and another is to think and prepare a interesting game for participants to involve. For the setup and decorate booth part, me and my group member decide to make some origami with the shape of the mouse as the decoration and the game we decide to conduct in the event day is teaching the participants to do the origami. Therefore, we were given materials such as red envelope , ribbons, glue, cellophane tape and so on to craft the origami. In every weekend, me and my group members also need to go N24 to discuss and craft whatever we can do to make the event interesting. But unfortunately, due to the pandemic of COVID-19, Movement Control Order (MCO) was implemented by government which cause our event to be postponed until next year.
Self Reflection
In this program, I feel a bit disappointed because of the postponed of the event. We pay a lot for the event but because of the pandemic of COVID-19 , this event has to be stop. But, I also learned a lot from the event even though I just involved in the preparation and rehearsal of the event. In this event, I learned the communicate skill because I was distribute to the group with the members that I didn't meet before. I have to forced myself to communicate and exchange my idea with my group members. Besides, I also feel happy that I have this chance to expand my social circle by recognize new friends. Besides, in this event I also learned thinking skill because me and my group members have to think and prepare a interesting game for the participants to involve. We also have to think what kind of sudden occurrence will occur during the event and how can we solve it presently.
