Mini Report

Self-Reflection

The March Madness activity was held only a week after SUSKOM'20. At first, I was hesitant to participate as I have not fully recovered my body from the physical stress that It had gone through in the previous activity. However, I soon realized that many of my friends from the university's badminton team (U-Team) was participating in this competition. Hence, I saw it as a great opportunity for me to measure my own ability against the best players in the entire university. So, I finally decided to take part in the men's doubles category of the badminton event of this activity together with my usual partner.

During this competition, I managed to learn some very important lessons. Due to the victory in the previous activity, I felt like nobody could be my partner and I, I was too overconfident. We went up against many tough opponents that pushed me to my limits and I finally realized that I was too proud of my own abilities, when others are better than me but are staying humble. That was a life-changing experience for me as it changed my perception towards everything, and I start to become more humble after this activity. After several difficult games, my partner and I managed to win our way into the finals, and finally be defeated by a very strong opponent.

In short, I was glad that I participated in this activity because it had taught me many valuable lessons that I still hold on to even until today. It was a very amazing experience as we gave it our all on the court and so did our opponents. I would love to participate in more tournaments like these in order to continue improving my abilities.
