SECP1513-01: Technology and Information System (Group 6)

This subject, Technology and Information System, brings a lot of benefits to me. Through this subject, I can actually enhance my knowledge about computer and information system from my lecturer, Dr Azurah. Besides, through the group works conducted among us in this subject, we can know how to work hand in hand with each other as well as to be tolerant and responsible in order to complete the tasks and assignments given to us. Moreover, I have learnt about the ways of writing a good and complete report, creating poster, and improving my high level thinking skills. Additionally, I learn about how to assemble personal computer step by step through this subject. By participating the Industry Talk, I took a golden opportunity to get the work experiences from seniors. I was inspired by their words. Indirectly, I felt motivated and encouraged by thier words to work towards my goals.  I am satisfied as I have definitely learnt a great deal of things that I have not known before.

My goal for this course is I hope that I can learn more about knowledge of Science Computer, Programming and Biology. As we all know, Bioinformatics is a study with intersection of two fields, that is Biology and Computer Science. Both of them are highly related with each other as it roles is to analyze the biology-related data and information with the use of knowledge of Computer Science. I hope that I can get new ideas and opinions about the technological progress as well as the innovation of science and technology in this era of technological advancement. It is essential for me to always keep on learning and understand about the trend of the creation of technology so that I would not lag behind. It is also hoped that I could have deeply understanding about the information components which involve technology with users. 

Furthermore, I also need to do some actions in order to improve myself in case of potential in industry. For instance, one of the actions that have to be done is training my self-confidence in doing anything. This is because the lack of self-confidence and prolonged negative mindset will lead me to failure instead of achiving my goals. Next, the other action is improving my soft skills and critical thinking so that I would manage to do precise decisions and complete all the tasks given to me in industry. I ought to enhance my teamworking skills and leadership skills as well so that I could cooperate well with the others while given a group projects. Besides, I have to be brave to take risks by trying out different strategies or new and creative ideas to get myself prepared to the industry.
