Ikhlas Com Travel & Umrah Sdn Bhd, or Ikhlas.com in short, is a brand-new line of business under AirAsia Group (Capital A) that was established in 2020. The organization began their journey by acting as a platform for Muslims to book Umrah trips. The goal is to digitalize the entire journey of Umrah, as well as making Umrah accessible and affordable for everyone.
However, since 2020, the company has greatly expanded their line of services. The goal is now to become an all-in-one shariah compliant platform to make the Muslim lifestyle easier. Ikhlas.com now offers products related to Zakat, Sadaqah, Aqiqah, Travel, and Qurban.
Overview of Internship
Position: Software Engineer Intern
Duration: 18 September 2024 – 7 February 2025
Assigned Project: IKHLAS Mobile Application (Flutter)
Job Scope:
- To implement and maintain product or system features to solve scoped problems under close supervision.
- To effectively communicate with fellow developers, designers and product managers in order to clarify understanding of problems.
Achievements:
- Collaborated with another colleague to develop Zikr and Dua
- Implemented background updates and analytics for the prayer times homescreen widget
- Migrated all assets to use new url during a corporate disaster
- Fixed bugs and standardized miscellaneous UI components
