My Reflection on TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM
The terms information system and information technology are frequently used interchangeably. Information technology is a subset of information systems in the literal sense. People, procedures, machines, and information technology make up information systems. The growth of information technology and the introduction of computers have resulted in significant advancements in information systems.
I am enrolled in SCSP1513, "Technology and Information System" (TIS), with Dr. Encik Hairudin as my instructor. This course is a required subject for all UTM computer science students in their first semester.
First and foremost, after studying with Dr. Encik Hairudin, I have gained a wealth of fresh knowledge in the areas of information systems (IS) and information technology (IT). Information technology, in actuality, is a subset of information systems. Individuals interested in pursuing a technology-related job may be confused by the idea that both phrases may be used interchangeably. Despite the fact that each of these jobs deals with computers, they have unique features and career pathways that need different levels of education and experience.
After a few months of studying this semester, I've learned that information system refer to the systems, people, and processes that are used to produce, store, alter, distribute, and disseminate information. Information systems is a field that combines business and computer science. One of the reasons why individuals may not be able to tell the difference between IS and IT is because they believe all information systems are computer-based. An information system, on the other hand, can be as simple as a pencil and paper. The items are only tools when they are separated. They constitute a mechanism for storing data when used together. Although computers and other technology-based tools are frequently used in information systems, the word predates computers and can include non-technological systems.
Finally, I believe that information technology has advanced at an exponential rate over the previous decade, resulting in more complex information systems. Today's information technology has made a huge difference in people's lives. Modern medicine has benefited the most from improved information systems based on cutting-edge technology. Information systems have long been used by humans as a decision-making tool in some form or another. However, as information technology advanced, information systems became more complex, and their use spread to many aspects of society. Information technology has aided in the transformation of vast amounts of data into meaningful and valuable data. This is beneficial to us as computer science students, and it will aid us much in our future endeavors.
MY ASSESSMENT THROUGHOUT THIS TECHNOLOGY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM SUBJECT
These are the group assignment that I made with my group. It was such a great experience to get the chance to work with this amazing group. Check them out I hope it helps someone in the future.
