4. Mini Report

This annual Spring Cleaning/BBQ event is held by Network and Security department is to maintain all the infrastructure that is used by the SCSR students by cleaning and beautify the building. It is also to strengthen the bonds between all of the students regardless of the year they are in. From there, the students are able to work together as a team and learn to communicate with other students that came from different background such as nationality and culture as well as know each other in more depth and build new bond among them. Talking about spring cleaning, there are few things that was set to be cleaned. Such as SCSR student lounge, lecturers’ rooms, common room, computer labs, mural and hallway cleaning. For barbeque event at night, the menus are grilled marinated chicken, sausages, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, nasi goreng, cakes and drinks. There were also some refreshment that is provided by bbq team for spring cleaning team.

5. Self-Reflection

On 6 March 2020, my course, Computer Network and Security held a spring cleaning and barbeque event for the whole day where every student in my course have to participate. There were two categories which is the spring cleaning team and prep team therefore one person can only choose 1 activity to do since these activities is done simultaneously. My friend and I decided to join the prep team for the barbeque event during the night time at Balai Cerap UTM JB.  We were trusted to prepare three type of dishes that is spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti carbonara as well as mashed potatoes.

During the food preparation, I was able to meet my former seniors and juniors properly as during usual time we all are busy with our classes. It is a great chance to really know them and exchange conversation. There were also some seniors and juniors that offer helping hands since our team are lacking of man power to lift all the heavy equipment. It was a great moment because we all get the chance to laugh and talk about other topics than classes and assignments. While at night, we all are recharged by the food any fun games that was planned for the event.
